Internationally acclaimed, award-winning singer Camille O’Sullivan has confirmed a live show at The Olympia Theatre on Saturday 25th February 2012.
Camille O'Sullivan enjoys a formidable international reputation for her intensely dramatic interpretations of the dark and darker songs of Jacques Brel, Nick Cave, Tom Waits, David Bowie and more. The multi-award-winning singer - one of the original cast members of the Olivier Award-winning La Clique - has stunned audiences around the world with her 5-star sell-out live performances, including London West End, New York, Australia, Poland, Italy and Ireland.
“A courageous and singular performer, Camille is one of the most gifted interpreters of narrative songs yet to appear…” ***** Irish Times
Dark, sexy, fierce, amusing and mesmerizing, Camille transforms each song she performs into an intense emotional and theatrical experience, inextricably drawing her audience into a world inhabited by the bizarre and wonderful. Chameleon-like on stage, each song becomes a different character that she honestly and sometimes painfully inhabits.
Her most recent shows, Chameleon, The Dark Angel and La Fille du Cirque were among the top selling shows of the 2010, 2009, 2008 and 2007 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, winning a host of 5 star rave reviews and a Spirit of the Fringe Award. She has won several “Best of” Awards including at the Dublin Fringe (09), Brighton Fringe and Melbourne Festival.
Expect fire and ice, tears and laughter, pure passion and drop-dead cool. Expect to be transported to places and spaces of fear, love and wonder. Expect the unexpected!
