This is a popular novel written by the famous author Kalki, based on facts and fiction set in the historic times of 7th century. The story revolves around the heroin Sivagami, a dancer and the daughter of a sculptor (whose intricate art can be seen in Mahabalipuram to this day) and the Hero Narasimma Pallavar, Pulikesi, the Chalukya King and Naganandhi his minister are the scheming Villians who plot together to destroy Kanchipuram the capital of the Pallava empire. The sheer complexity of the story line interwoven between so many characters may be the reason why it has not been explored in detail till today. Madurai R Muralidaran, the multi talented who has many productions to his credit has taken this challenging task of presenting Sivagamiyin Sabadham, once again opening the doors for critics and connoisseurs of art to witness this grand show. More than 100 artistes accomplished in dance, drama, music, Kalari and folk will be coming together on the likes of a broad way musical. DA Srinivas, the renowned percussionist has graciously taken the effort for the music orchestration and the rhythmic patterns. The concept lyrics, compositions are by Muralidaran.
