THE LUCKY ONES is a new musical by The Bengsons & Sarah Gancher. We are seeking excellent singers with strong harmony skills. Instrument ability a plus. Movement skills a plus.

PREPARATION

Prepare a short song. The music style of the show is a mix of folk/punk/choral/sacred music. Please bring sheet music in the correct key: accompanist provided but may not transpose.

Please bring a picture and resume.

TOM
Male, 60s. TENOR. Jewish hippie, performative, very well-educated, charismatic. A father and a teacher.

PHOEBE
Female, 30s-early 40s. ALTO. Jewish, analytical, justice minded, fiercely protective, eloquent.

TIM (CAST)
Male, 30s. TENOR. Charismatic, a seeker, bold, a musician.

EMILY
Female, mid-late 30s. ALTO. Intellectual, marijuana legalization activist, bold, funny.

AMBER
Female, 30s-early 40s. ALTO. Funny and practical, a leader, straight shooting. Emotional and outspoken.

CHELSEA (CAST)
Female, 20s-30s. ALTO/SOPRANO. Curious, open, adventurous, soft spoken, deep thinking. A dancer, a musician, and a sensitive but brave soul.

ANGEL (CAST)
Male or Female, 30s. An ethereal presence with an earth-shattering vocal range.

Shaun and Abigail Bengson. 30-something musicians in a band.
