About this studio
Studio Dance is a dance school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, operating two studios with a large shared waiting area. Its class list spans introductory work for young children through advanced technique, including Intro Dance and the Dance 2 and Dance 3 progressions, Tiny Beat Crew hip hop for the youngest students, jazz, funky jazz and Broadway jazz, lyrical, ballet, pointe, tap, acro, and dedicated strength, technique, turns and tricks classes. An adult jazz and tap class is also offered. The studio stresses that placement is based on each child's age, ability, experience and maturity, and that students placed incorrectly will be moved in the first months of the year. Owner Miss Michele helps families with class placement at pre-season open house sessions, where dance attire and shoe fittings are also handled, and the studio has been moving its registration and payment system online.
