Dance Works is a Davenport, Iowa studio serving the Quad Cities with dance lessons for children aged 2 to 18. Its stated mission is a family-oriented, recreational dance experience that teaches life skills alongside dance skills, on the understanding that most students will not become professional dancers. Classes are organized by age and school grade: Me & My Shadow for ages 2-3 with a parent or caregiver in class, Preschool and PreKinder combos, a Kinder combo of tap, ballet and tumbling, grade-level combination classes in tap, ballet and jazz, separate pom and hip hop tracks, and a boys-only hip hop class from first grade up. Advanced students take required ballet technique classes, with pointe by invitation, and a competition team is open to invited accelerated and advanced dancers from first grade. The studio is Dance & Gym certified, YPAD trained and a Quad City Dance Network member. The 2026-27 season runs from late August to early June.
