Dance classes in Larchmont, New York
A Dance Studio is a neighborhood dance school at 2094 Boston Post Road in Larchmont, New York, teaching dancers from preschool age through adults. Its September-to-June schedule starts with preschool classes for ages 3-4 and pre tap/jazz for ages 5-6, then builds through graded beginner, intermediate and advanced levels in tap/jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical and modern for children, preteens and teens. Adult classes run in jazz, tap and hip hop at beginner through advanced level. The studio also offers Hip Hop Twist, a class specifically for students with special needs. Petite, Junior and Senior competition groups and Junior and Senior companies are by teacher recommendation only. Registration and shoe-fitting days are held in August, and new students register in person so they can be placed at the right level. The year ends with an annual recital, and the studio awards student scholarships and sells personalised apparel.
