BWW Review: HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL a Big Hit With the Film's Fans
by Paul Batterson - May 14, 2016
If it were a high school student, HEATHERS would've been voted 'Least Likely To Become A MUSICAL.' Released in 1988, the dark comedy about an outsider's plot of murderous revenge against the popular kids' clique almost seems like a backlash to the sunnier view of high school life like THE BREAKFAST CLUB (1985), PRETTY IN PINK (1986) and FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF (1986).

Photo Coverage: First look at Short North Stage's THE LAST 5 YEARS
by Jerri Shafer - May 09, 2016
To help celebrate the start of Short North Stage's fifth year, we present the contemporary hit musical The Last Five Years. A cult favorite, especially among young audiences, this musical by Robert Jason Brown tells the story of a twenty-something novelist Jamie Wellerstein and Cathy Hiatt, a struggling actress. The musical explores their five-year relationship through a novel device: Cathy's story is told in the reverse chronological order-beginning at the end of their marriage-while Jamie's begins just after they've met. The characters never directly interact except for a wedding song in the middle, when their timelines intersect.

Actors' Theatre of Columbus to Stage OTHELLO
by BWW News Desk - May 02, 2016
In 1982, Actors' Theatre of Columbus (ATC) kicked off its first season with a single production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. The success of that season proved that Schiller Park was an excellent venue for open air Shakespearean theater, and the troupe has continued this tradition for 35 years. "To Tell the Truth," Actors' Theatre's 2016 season, features four plays that ask questions about how far relationships can be strained and even broken by dishonesty, falsehood and slander.
