Same Time, Next Year at Western Reserve Playhouse

Western Reserve Playhouse (WRP) proudly announces its upcoming production of Same Time, Next Year, Bernard Slade’s Tony Award–winning romantic comedy, directed by Joe Soriano in his WRP directorial debut. The production opens November 14 and runs through November 23, 2025. This play offers a heartfelt and humorous look at love, change, and connection over the course of 25 years.

Same Time, Next Year tells the story of Doris and George, two strangers each married to other people, who meet by chance at a California inn in 1951 and begin a love affair that endures through annual meetings over the next quarter century. As the world around them evolves through cultural and political shifts, so too do their lives, marriages, and the deep bond they share.
