Written by D.W. Gregory and directed by Rachel Gold, Radium Girls is inspired by the true story of factory workers who painted luminous watch dials with radium in 1926 and began falling ill with a mysterious disease. The play traces one dial painter's fight for her day in court against her former employer and the U.S. Radium Corporation. The production offers an unflinching look at obsessions with health, wealth, and the commercialization of science.
