Stop the World - I Want to Get Off is a musical with book, music, and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley. It is a thought-provoking tale about the fleeting nature of worldly success. The hero of the show, Littlechap, attempts to apply some braking effect on his world before it spins out of control. Set against the backdrop of a circus, it focuses on Littlechap, whose first major step towards improving his lot is to marry Evie, his boss' daughter.

Baum's story and adapted by Steve and Kathy Hotchner. This version of the popular story about the Kansas girl swept over the rainbow to the magical land of Oz is appropriate for children at Kindergarten through 5th grade age levels and includes a great deal of audience participation.

The Rhinebeck Writers Retreat provides a one-week residency for a musical theatre writing team to create and refine their musical in Rhinebeck, New York.
