Music and event veterans ReynaRD Productions are proud to announce the opening of Avant Gardner, an 80,000 sq-ft state-of-the-art event venue in East Williamsburg. The extraordinary space, among New York City's largest, will be open year-round for live entertainment and public programming, from concerts and festivals to film screenings and community gatherings, as well as for private events.

Avant Gardner fills a tremendous market void in Brooklyn and New York City as a turn-key venue prioritizing a top-of-the-line audio, visual, and hospitality experience. It is designed to host a diverse range of small-to-large events with little additional production necessary, and will eventually bring nearly 300 jobs to Brooklyn.

"We're excited to join the thriving cultural landscape of Williamsburg-we couldn't imagine Avant Gardner anywhere else," says Billy Bildstein, co-founder of Avant Gardner and ReynaRD Productions. "We are thankful for the support from our elected leaders, local organizations, neighbors and friends."

Avant Gardner will produce open-to-the-public, community-minded programming as well as ticketed and private events. A schedule of upcoming events will be released in the upcoming days and weeks, as well as hospitality offerings from local vendors.

The inaugural Avant Gardner event is organized by Cityfox Experience and will take place tomorrow, Saturday, July 1, at the Brooklyn Mirage, with Tale Of Us DJing, and Stephan Bodzin and Recondite plaYing Live.

If you are interested in visiting Avant Gardner, please contact Marcella Zimmermann (marcella@culturalcounsel.com) to discuss coverage opportunities. Photos of the space will be available on Sunday, July 2.

Avant Gardner spans a full city block at 140 Stewart Ave-on Meserole St between Stewart Ave and Gardner Ave, which lends its name-and is comprised of three sensorily immersive spaces. The Brooklyn Mirage opens on July 1st, and The Great Hall and The Kings Hall will open later this year.

Open exclusively for the summer season, The Brooklyn Mirage is a 40,000 sq-ft outdoor oasis featuring modular staging, sound that you can hear and feel through KV2 Audio's revolutionary VHD5.0, sixteen HD projectors for video mapping on nearly all surfaces, a two-story catwalk that encircles the courtyard, and five full-service bars. Further up, a four-story observation tower will offer 360-degree VIP views of the Manhattan skyline. The open-air space features thousands of native plants, over two dozen palm trees, and a lush garden lounge. At summer's end, the majority of the flora will be donated to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

The Great Hall is a 20,000 sq-ft climate-controlled warehouse with 40 ft. ceilings. A massive and soaring space, it features original exposed brick and steel beams-maintaining the original integrity of the building and its industrial chic accents-and upgraded hardwood floors and warm wooden accoutrements that conceal extensive sound treatment in the walls and floors, putting the acoustic experience on par with that of the world's most renowned concert halls. The space is also equipped with modular staging, three full-service bars, KV2 Audio's VHD5.0 sound system, a vast array of video projectors, and hundreds of fully programmable lighting fixtures to immerse attendees in the space and offer them the ultimate sensory experience.

The Kings Hall is an intimate 5,000 sq-ft space that offers the ideal setting for music aficionados and any variety of special events. Warmth was the guiding principle behind its design: hand-carved wood paneling on the walls, hardwood floors, and the extensive acoustic treatments can be found throughout these event spaces.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

The Avant Gardner team is proud to have fostered positive relationships with many local organizations and businesses, having earned dozens of letters of support that recognize its positive contribution to the thriving cultural landscape of New York City and the economy in North Brooklyn.

"Avant Gardner is a truly cutting-edge establishment, and a well-situated destination that will help us draw exhibitions, trade shows, festivals, fairs, community programs, and tourism to Brooklyn," says Brian Grimaldi of NYC's Company, the city's tourism board. Andrew Hoam of The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce agrees, calling it a "unique space for events, such as festivals, exhibitions, concerts, trade shows, open-air movies, fundraisers, and community and cultural activities. Brooklyn is in need of such a space. We are eager for Avant Gardner to open."
