Klezmer by Candlelight is the inaugural performance of Berkshire Theatre Group's Colonial Candlelight Concert Series, an immersive concert experience set inside the historic 1903 Colonial Theatre illuminated by hundreds of candles. Grammy Award-winning trumpeter and composer Frank London leads his Klezmer Brass Allstars, featuring special guest vocalist Eleanor Reissa, in a program titled Vilde Mekhaye (Wild Ecstasy), a celebration of klezmer music rooted in Eastern European Jewish culture. The ensemble includes Michael Winograd on clarinet, Brian Drye on trombone, Ron Caswell on tuba, Ilya Shneyveys on accordion, and Aaron Alexander on drums. The concert is presented in partnership with and sponsored by the Yiddish Book Center.
