Chimes of Freedom: Patriotism, Protest, and the Power of Song is an exhibit presented by the Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame in collaboration with the Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music. The exhibit explores how music has served as an agent for change, inspiring and uniting people throughout American history from the spirituals of the enslaved to the anthems of the Civil Rights Movement and today's calls for social justice. Featuring items from Bruce Springsteen, John Denver, Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Dropkick Murphys, and many more, the exhibit highlights the enduring power of song as a force for equality and social change. Curated by the Museum Collective, the exhibit runs alongside a sister exhibit at the Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music, both sharing the same title and themes but featuring unique artifacts.
