Rhapsody: The Music of Queen returns to The Colonial Theatre for a second consecutive year following the success of its 2025 performance, expanding to two nights of electrifying rock anthems, heartfelt ballads and theatrical flair. Directed by Greg Santos, a Western Massachusetts native and New York City–based director and producer, the production blends rock concert spectacle with theatrical storytelling. Santos previously directed last year’s Rhapsody: The Music of Queen, Pink Floyd’s The Wall: A Theatrical Concert Experience, Million Dollar Quartet and Santaland Diaries at BTG’s Colonial Theatre, and his work has been seen at theatres across the country including Goodspeed Opera House, Bucks County Playhouse, Cape Playhouse and Arkansas Repertory Theatre.
Led by Broadway’s Mike Wartella, whose powerhouse vocals and commanding stage presence channel the spirit of Freddie Mercury while bringing fresh energy to Queen’s iconic catalog, the production delivers a dynamic concert experience. A Berkshire native and BTG favorite, Wartella—whose Broadway credits include Wicked and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory—is joined by a stellar band of musicians for a thrilling setlist featuring favorites like “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Somebody to Love” and more.
Part concert, part theatrical event, Rhapsody delivers a high-energy, stadium-sized experience returning by popular demand.
Ages: Appropriate for all ages.
