The first of three world premieres scheduled in Merrimack Repertory Theatre's 2015-16 Season is set to open early next month. THE WHITE CHIP is a dark comedy about the science of addiction written by Sean Daniels, MRT's Artistic Director and is based on his own struggles with alcoholism and path to recovery. The autobiographical story will be produced with a creative team that features an impressive list of artists who have many Broadway credits and a total of seven Tony Award nominations and one win between them.
Emmanuel Music, Winsor Music & Oberlin College and Conservatory to Host 2016 Bach Institute

Emmanuel Music, Winsor Music, and Oberlin College and Conservatory announce the 2016 Bach Institute, hosted by Emmanuel Church and supported by generous grants and contributions.  From January 8 through 26, 2015, fifteen college and conservatory students selected by audition, from colleges and conservatories through the USA and Canada, will embark on an intensive exploration, mentored by faculty from Emmanuel Music, into the historical framework and performance of Bach arias and cantatas.

English National Opera on Screen Coming to WHAT

In response to a request for more opera, Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater has added five broadcasts from English National Opera (ENO Screen) to its winter/spring calendar. ENO Screen's live cinema broadcasts are as distinctive as ENO's live work in the theatre, creating a unique cinematic experience for audiences across the globe. Multiple HD cameras provide unusual angles and close-up views of the action on stage and in the orchestra pit, giving a true cinematic experience for viewers. The five opera broadcasts at WHAT are:
Cape Playhouse Names 2016 Guest Artistic Director
