Harrison Lang, in cooperation with The Egremont Barn, is proud to announce the Berkshires' premiere production of the Broadway smash hit musical, Spring Awakening. Winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Spring Awakening explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood through an illuminating book and poignant lyrics by Steven Sater, and a gorgeous score by Duncan Sheik. Based on the controversial 1891 seminal German play by Frank Wedekind, Spring Awakening is a thrilling blend of morality, sexuality, and rock and roll that has been rousing audiences across the nation for years. In late nineteenth century Germany, the grown-ups hold all the cards and the children are expected to obey. However, once this corrupt society is exposed, a group of students learn how to navigate teenage self-discovery and coming of age anxiety.

Dance Now Boston/NYC, David Parker's vision, now in its 4th season, to foster a choreographic bridge between Boston and New York, returns to The Dance Complex, June 16-18, 2017 for a showcase of performance and celebration. Friday will feature Dance Now commissions by four Boston choreographers: Jimena Bermejo, Carey McKinley, McKersin Previlus, and Subject:Matter with Ian Berg and Sunday will offer works by New York's LMnO3 (Deborah Lohse, Cori Marquis, and Donnell Oakley). Saturday night presents Snap•Crackle•BANG!, a gala to benefit The Bang Group, featuring both groups and honoring PFLAG trustee and social activist Stanley N. Griffith.

Registration is now open for the 32nd annual AIDS Walk & Run Boston, which will take place Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the DCR Hatch Memorial Shell on the Esplanade. The event regularly draws thousands of participants, making it AIDS Action Committee's largest annual fundraiser. The Walk is 4.85 miles. The 5K Run is a competitive, timed event fully sanctioned by the USA Track & Field Association.

Newport Classical Music Festival's 49th Season Features 56 Performances by 80 Artists

When it comes to covering a lot of ground, Newport's oldest and largest festival gets it done. The Newport Music Festival, now in its 49th season, will host 56 concerts in just over two weeks between July 7 and 23. From dusk to dawn, the festival, in partnership with the Preservation Society of Newport County, takes over the grand halls and lawns of many of the city's celebrated Gilded Age mansions - from The Breakers to The Elms, and Chateau-sur-Mer to Rosecliff, a backdrop as magical as the music itself.
