Absolutely love it. I was nervous after a lukewarm response from a friend who went to the reading, but this is everything I’ve been missing from the shows running right now - catchy, energetic and so much fun!

It sounds a lot like Bombshell. I don't think it's as catchy as anything from Hairspray but it's encouraging first listen if you liked Smash.
Nice! Hopefully this ends up as a big swing number.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Wondering what kind of deal Borle did with the devil to end up with the career he’s had. There’s never been any THERE there, and this video is the perfect example when compared to every single other of the six or so performers.
Bubbly and catchy, but Shaiman and Wittman always feel like they're writing songs for a musical episode of a sitcom, particularly with the pastichey lyrics and the reliance on that weirdly tense group harmony they always fall back on that you hear at 3:18. Hoping it feels a little looser in a live performance.

I take it you didn’t see him in Peter and the Starcatcher?

The industry loves a tall, skinny, vaguely attractive straight white guy.
I like Borle, but that second Tony win felt like a fluke of a weak year. He doesn't work terribly often, but has shown his breadth as an actor, has found success in comedic and dramatic parts, and can sometimes elevate material (Starcatcher). Give me Borle over Gavin Creel or Andy Karl or Rob McClure any day.
Shaiman & Wittman must also like him, since he was in Smash, Wonka, and now this.

Borle over Creel? You've gone insane. Creel. The voice. Buttah.

I don't think this is THAT bad yall. It sounds like a good to a decent jazz score. Especially compared to a lot of the contemporary MT scores that have come out in the last few years. BTTF, from what I've heard, is SO mediocre and plain.
I bought my tickets after hearing that song, so it worked on me and they’ve sold at least two tickets. Pure ear-candy, and as much as everyone criticized Smash, that was what Shaiman and Whitman did so well there too.
