don't think any tours start up until 2022. Not until the virus is nearly contained throughout the entire country,
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

As of now a number of shows have tours set to resume in the summer or fall of 2021 which I think is easily feasible especially if Broadway is reopened by then. (Which according to recent updates, if all continues to go well with the vaccine, is quite possible). So yea, short answer is no one knows, but could be by summer/fall.

I have tickets for Hamilton in Los Angeles in April, and I'm surprised they haven't just canceled and refunded yet.
And it's weird that all the theater groups are sending updated schedules for upcoming seasons, but they probably need to for scheduling purposes.

The vaccinations are significantly behind schedule. With the new administration coming in, that may hopefully be resolved. But I wouldn't expect anything in the summer.

Posted: 1/7/21 at 8:45pmMaybe I'm wrong, but I feel like national tours will be kind of a tricky thing to work out compared to Broadway shows. Tours are going from City to city and state to state, and each of those places has varying covid guidelines , restrictions and infection rates. However if the incoming presidency is able to issue some kinda national mandates that would change things. IDK.

Agree Darreyl, tours will happen after Broadway reopens for the reasons you stated.

Posted: 1/7/21 at 11:38pmEven though some tours are touting Fall 2021 openings, I believe tours will resume Spring 2022 and Broadway will begin opening late Fall 2021.
