An investigation is starting today regarding all of the complaints and issues with how people at the "Ellen" show are being treated.  The representatives at the show have no comment, but I feel that there is more than enough info that could have the show not coming back in the Fall...

There have been rumors for years, how badly Ellen treated her staff.  If anything comes of this, at least more of the general public will know how fake she is.

The cynic in me will say that she will make a "heartfelt" apology and all will be forgiven. She will then say she is ending her show and will live happily ever after with her millions of dollars.

The majority of the investigation is based on her executive producers actions in the workplace, as well as the treatment of crew during the early days of COVID.

I disagree she'll live happily ever after with her millions of dollars. She will call herself a victim again and during this time of devastating job losses for millions of people around the world she will make another stand up special in which she claims to have "lost everything" by coming out.  Her definition of "lost everything" is very different from a normal person's. Perhaps George W. Bush will chip in on her GoFundMe.

She is worth 330 million and can very easily disappear for a bit after apology. I have no doubt she will be forgiven after a matter of time.

The show still pulls in huge ratings. As long as that's the case nothing is going to happen. At most one of her EPs will resign or be fired and the show will continue on. Unless her ratings start to go down.

Well my Mother who NEVER misses her Ellen show (seriously, what happens on that show is a daily part of our conversations asking me if I heard or saw and the answer is always “no”) has stopped watching her because of all of this. Obviously that’s only one person but I think if shes decides she can’t watch anymore there’s a lot of people who will do the same.

Hopefully you're right. From the experience i've had these allegations haven't really stuck. But I guess we'll see soon.

Her apology that was released today seemed incredibly insincere and pandering.  This is HER show, she should know everything that is going on ALL of the time.  This seems like a quick band-aid remedy by Warner Brothers to fix everything, and if the ratings are bad now, wait until the show comes back and they see how everyone abandons her in droves.  I will never support anything she ever does again!...

I doubt any of that will happen, but it's been interesting to read about how she treats people that cannot do anything for her. She seems like such a terrible person, I knew she would talk about herself almost losing everything like 25 years ago, but it seems she should have just been nice to people that had nothing to do with her downfall in the 90s.

This whole thing to me is just sad. For so many gay people my age, she was (is?) an icon and a vitally important person to the history of the visibility of LGBT people in this country and helped countless people be able to come out. But I’ve heard these stories for so long about her that it amazes me she was allowed to be so horrible for so long completely unchecked.

I think people buy into a celebrity's persona too easily and forget we all have no clue what they are truly like as a human being. She was probably unchecked because she is a gay icon and nobody wanted to tarnish that image. Ellen will go on and live nice life with plenty of money, I feel bad for all the people for over a decade who were mistreated by her show. Interesting that people like Jennifer Anniston and Justin Timberlake  who claim to be her long time friends have been silent.

It starts at the top and of course she knows what is going on with her own show. The stories just keep piling up about how toxic that environment is. She is the worst.
