Would have loved to have seen her again. The last concert, "MUSIC/MEMORIES" had too many songs from the album, no guest stars and I was hoping for more of her hits. I have always wanted to see her since "A Star Is Born" came out and she didn't disappoint!
Seems very strange that MSG said that the concert would only be 90 minutes long. When I saw her perform on the last tour, it was two acts and had an intermission. I agree that StubHub has a good deal on tickets!
Forgive me for being very behind in this conversaton, but just finished watching the "NOWADAYS" episode and was wondering if Bob did indeed contact the media about Liza stepping in for Gwen when she had her surgery. This show has changed my opinion of him, and not for the better. I had no idea that he was that conniving and duplicitous. This episode has been my favorite so far. I know that it is very hard to create a show about a famous person when everyone k
I also heard that next year's Tony Awards have been canceled and that U-Haul truck filled with Tonys was delivered to Ms. Dunaway's condo as a "thank you" for bringing audiences back to Broadway!...
So now we wait with baited breath to see if there is any possibility of a very wealthy Patron of the Arts to donate money to allow everyone to witness the theatrical event of the year?...
Not that I am comparing the two, but in the early 1980s I worked on a pay TV comedy special featuring 70s superstar comedian Robert Klein. The whole time that I worked with him he was trying to be funny (but not succeeding), and not much of a team player. Right before we were getting ready to record the show, the director told me to ask him what stage preparations he needed. I opened to door to his dressing room to find in bikini briefs and inhaling what I could see to be so
Going back the Oscar ceremony from two years ago, there was sooo much buzz and hoopla about Dunaway and Beatty being reunited to present Best Picture, only to be overshadowed by mistakenly having the wrong envelope and reciting the wrong winner. I am not sure if she feels that she has to prove something by returning to the stage, but I remember how awkward she seemed on New Year's Eve with Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper, especially with him fawning over her like a schoolgirl...
He was just recently in Netflix's "Tales of the City" and was sooo unrecognizable that I didn't know that it was him until I looked at the entire cast on IMDB...
When I think of Katherine Hepburn, the LAST person that I would think to portray Katherine Hepburn would be Faye Dunaway. When "Master Class" was touring and it stopped in Chicago, she asked an assistant one evening to get a steak dinner for her to eat after her performance that night. He complied and got the best steak dinner available from a restaurant Downtown. She got into her dressing room, took one bite and threw the rest at the assistant claiming that it was
This is an AMAZING idea!!!...I LOVED this show when it played briefly in Chicago!...This show should have done a lot better than it did, and deserves to be seen by everyone!...
As excited for this show as I was when I saw the very first commercial, part of me thinks that I would enjoy watching "ALL THAT JAZZ" again. I find the whole series very dull and depressing in tone. It has none of the excitement that I was expecting from all of the musicals, films and shows that he worked on. The acting isn't bad, I just feel that the overall tone needs to be raised a bit...
Isn't the point of a revival to replicate the original musical? I would think that they would want to make as close to the original musical as possible, given the fact that a lot of people may not have been around when the original musical was first produced. I am in the middle of watching the "Fosse/Verdon" episode where they begin working on "Chicago". It's very interesting to see how rabid Verdon was to work again with Fosse on Broadway... <
I was excited about this show ever since I heard that it was in development. I was not the least bit disappointed! Getting a chance to see it on opening night in Chicago and one more time before it left for Broadway was great! The Bob Mackie costume parade and Stephanie J. Block were the highlights for me. If I lived in NYC, I would try for the lottery every day and see the show over and over! Michaela Diamond is a complete treasure as well!...
If there was ever a movie that would have been a HUGE it on Broadway, it should have been this film. Seeing the Chicago preview (on opening night from a Broadway in Chicago through a promotion), feeling very excited and winding up being incredibly disappointed. Faith Prince is an excellent actress, but unfortunately cannot follow Bette Midler's shadow. Carmen Cusack was the best of the three lead actresses, but the writing and music was subpar. The ending was horri
I was really looking forward to seeing this series, and during every episode I have feelings of sadness and why does the show have the tone that it has. I know from my childhood that 1973 was the greatest year of Bob Fosse's life, winning the Oscar, Tony and Emmy that year for all of his work. The last episode showed none of the excitement or happiness from either Bob or Gwen. I still feel that Michelle WIlliams is amazing, but I don't feel any real magic from Sam Ro
Having only seen the show twice in previews in Chicago, I am incredibly impressed by how the show has changed and become more spectacular. I don't feel that you can say that the book is weak, this show is based on the events in someone's life. By saying the book is weak, you're saying that the person had a less than interesting life. Cher has always been an idol of mine ever since I was a child and I hope that the show can stay open for as long as she continues t

Last night on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon", the whole episode was dedicated to "The Cher Show", featuring Cher and the four leads, Ms. Block, Ms. Wicks, Ms. Diamond and Mr. Spector. Has there been in anyone's recent memory a late night talk dedicated to a Broadway show like this. It was very entertaining and would watch more late night talk shows if things like this were done more often.
Was very impressed with the first episode! Love all of the attention to detail. Was thrown for a moment by the theatre screen comment, I don't believe that there even any ideas of multiplexes in the late 60s. I have never been a fan of Michelle Williams, ever since "Dawson's Creek", but I won't be tired of hearing her named called over and over again once award season starts. The thing I am most happy about is seeing Sam Rockwell finally getting a
