You think a few people will line up at the box office ? Maybe a few hundred and few seats available, don't expect to much. It's called promotions and free publicity.

I think more people will buy on line .but I dont expect it to be madness.

ACL - that glitch you jokingly hope for would have to pretty serious...both the wrong show AND dates beyond the parameter! (Im just hoping for the dates to glitch so I can grab tix for April!)

I'm looking at ticket availability for Virginia Woolf for the week of the 23rd... some of these houses look mostly empty. If "remaining seats" truly means that, then folks could very easily have access to hundreds of extremely good seats for $50.

Glancing at Mormon and WSS, they too have quite a bit of availability.

Any word on whether this'll be available online, or strictly in-person?

The origin al BWW story seems to suggest online is an option given that they tell you which shows are on Telecharge and which ones are on Ticketmaster.

Yes, the lack of a statement saying this was specifically an in-person offer suggests it'll be online as well.

The chances of me getting it is definitely slimmer than the ages of people who are getting it, and the chances of me recovering if I do get it, is very likely. I’m not too concerned for my own health and will probably be going on a shopping spree of Mockingbird and West Side Story tix for later in the month. If it comes to the point where NYC has an incredible amount of cases then I will refund my tickets but very happy that he is doing this.

Stay safe everyone!

Good for you. Enjoy.

Tickets for Moulin Rouge are $79 (Side Mezzanine) and no fees at TodayTix for this week. I bought a pair for me.

I wish the older patrons who tend to be the ones coughing and sniffling through the performance would take this advice. Even without the fears about spreading coronavirus, way too many people have always shown up to performances clearly sick.

I previously had a bunch of people lined up to see Woolf on Saturday, but in the intervening days, we were all like, let's not bother. The usher being sick AT Woolf didn't help any...

Personally, I would still go, but since I have a 97 y/o grandmother, so I can't be putting her at risk. Were I on my own, I'd totally take advantage of this promo. Scott Rudin lowers tickets to $50 for all his shows in March

$50 won't matter when they close down the shows, which will probably happen very soon.

True...only a matter of days...COVID19 is exploding in NYC and they will have no choice by next week

True to his word, all tickets are already $50 for March. I won't be taking advantage of this offer however. With the rumors as they are unless you're planning to go watch it tonight or tomorrow it seems like a shutdown is inevitable and getting a refund will be a headache.

Unlikely to be much of a headache to get a refund for online purchases and it very often is simply done automatically within the course of a few days.

Took advantage of the offer, and assume if Bway closes, refunds will be issued. But as long as things are open, I figure it's good to support theater.

I got a ticket for To Kill a Mockingbird for my birthday.  For the price it is worth the chance if they close shows or I get second thoughts.
