Performance: DIANA: A TRUE MUSICAL STORY Time: 3/5/2020 8:00:00 PM
Good Evening TDF Member,
We were just notified by the Longacre Theatre that the performance of DIANA for tonight has been cancelled. A refund will be issued and should show up on your statement in 3-5 business days.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
I have to assume a main cast member is sick or injured as understudies aren't rehearsed yet. They called the show early enough so I doubt it's something technical.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I really hope this is just an overabundance of caution so she has a night to recover, and it's not anything more serious. I'm seeing the show next week and I was looking forward to seeing her.

Your assumption is correct and thus cancellation is a required response to what equates to be the third lead character (after Diana and Charles) having vocal issues and is not "dramatic."
Your response to their and our responses, however, was. lol

No, you made it seem like it was overkill to cancel the show. Which three days into previews, is probably necessary because there is no one to u/s Davie, which suggests you think it is Davie who is being "dramatic"- something I dont seem to hear when its Saquon Barkley whose dealing with an injury before a game.
It appears as though tonight's show is on as it's up at TKTS. Just curious to know if Davie is on or if they were able to ready an understudy in time.
