Crazy how much better the show is with the touring cast. Saw it in Boston today.
Maybe Zaks toned down the Broadway cast.
The tour cast is running on high energy with breakneck pacing (which works for this show - you dont want to think too much about what’s really going on) and impeccable comic timing. Lewis Stadlen is a national treasure. The last of a dying vaudeville taught breed. Every line is hysterical. Nic Rouleau captures that naive and slightly strange aspect of Corn
Gotta agree with AADA81 - the music is rather snoozy. Same way I felt in the theatre. Everything started sounding the same and I got bored pretty quickly.

And Hadestown is another director’s watered down Greek myth. Bland and filled with empty, visual gimmicks and ramped up musical moments that fall flat after about 15 min.
Well, RENT was never fully developed, so Mimi could have, or NOT have AIDS. I mean, she makes a miraculous recovery from whatever it is she had, so...anything seems to go.
