What are some actors who are decent-sized Broadway stars who have been on a tour? Not bigger names, like Betty Buckley or Carolee Carmello in Hello, Dolly, but names that would mean something to Broadway fans but not many others. For example, Joy Franz in Anastasia, Kevin Carolan in Come From Away, Donna Vivino in Cats, and the like.
"I think that when a movie says it was 'based on a true story,' oh, it happened - just with uglier people." - Peanut Walker, Shucked
Jeff McCarthy in Chicago, Rachel York in Anything Goes, Jessica Phillips, Christiane Noll, and Aaron Lazar in Dear Evan Hansen, John Bolton in Hello, Dolly, Jane Houdyshell in Wicked, and many more I’m sure.
I saw Carmen Cusack and Jackie Burns on the Wicked tour. Cherry Jones on the Doubt Tour. Caroline Bowman as Evita. Jon Jon Brione in a non-Equity Miss Saigon tour.
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
Rob McClure did the Something Rotten tour for a year and a half after closing the show on Broadway. Adam Pascal did the tour too but I think he’s too well-known for what this question is asking.
The Lunts, Katharine Cornell and most other major stars of their era toured their shows extensively. It was how they got national reputations before the age of TV and the internet.
But that was many years ago. I doubt that anyone would know.
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

A lot of them start off on tours before they make it to Broadway. I saw Sutton Foster in Grease on tour in the late 90s, I saw Alice Ripley as Fantine in Les Miz on tour in the early 90s.
