I really want to see this, but it depends on if I get tickets for Last Week Tonight (I know it's a long shot). The only slot I have open for the trip while this is playing is Sunday night

I attended the first presentation/Reading of this in Denver at the New Play Summit in 2009.  Hope to get to see it.

I enjoyed it more than I expected to. At the time, I had a close connection with the Molly Brown House in Denver so knew her whole story. There was a lot of excitement surrounding the reading and I was lucky to get in to see it.

Just give the world Love.

I just purchased my tickets.  Kathleen Marshall choreographed and directed two of my most favorite show stoppers (Swing from Wonderful Town and Anything Goes) of all time.  I have every confidence that this will be another great experience.  I can't wait to see Beth Malone in a larger than life role. I am very excited about this and looking forward to it.

Cannot wait to see this . Already have my ticket.  Ms. Malone is a dynamo and the supporting cast looks terrific.  I think this will be an interesting and respectful adaptation as I get the feeling that the creatives really love the work!  The original had a deeply flawed book so anything is an improvement on that.

Actually, this sounds preachy-awful to me.  The original musical was no great shakes, but a revised version emphasizing the feminist-empowerment tropes that are so de rigeur these days in theater seems like a puke-fest to me.

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone think there might be a cast recording of this done? I'd love to hear Beth Malone sing "I ain't down yet" and won't be able to see this.

I wouldn't think it out of the question. This production has been in development for 6 years now and has already had two runs, so there's definitely significance to this production. And I don't think there's been another cast recording since the original, so that would also make me think that a cast recording of this production is likely.

Looking forward to this production. Anyone know why they chose this particular theater (or have tips for a dinner spot nearby)? Never been there.

I like La Flaca. Short walk on Grand Street.

For those who haven't purchased tix, it is appearing sporadically on TDF and Show Score.

For those looking for restaurant recommendations, I love eating around the Lower East Side.

-Indian food: Mughlai at 6 Clinton Street

-Waffles: Waffles and Dinges at 15 AVE. B

-Seafood: Lamia's Fish Market on AVE. B

-BBQ/Argentine food: Balvanera 152 Stanton Street

Also very close to Chinatown, and to the Essex Market where you can any type of food, and I highly recommend to try the cupcakes at Sweet Sunshine Bakery.

Hope it helps!

I saw the show tonight with a fellow BroadwayWorld legend and we really enjoyed the show. Kathleen Marshall was taking notes in the audience...the entire cast was flawless, Beth Malone surprised me. The 2 4 1 ticket promotion is sold out throughout the whole run, but there are rush tickets available (sometimes, because they were sold out on Sunday), the show needs to be a bit shorter, but overall it was really a great show with some fantastic moments. I loved it.

It's a hit! Get your tickets while you can. I think the show should be a bit shorter, hopefully they won't cut the dancing numbers though. They are pure heaven. The cast and the orchestra were flawless.

Does this revised version include the song "Colorado, My Home"?

Saw the show tonight. I thought act 1 was mildly amusing, with some fun numbers and character stuff. But I thought act 2 was a total boring mess, and in the end, extremely preachy. Overall, thumbs down. Beth Malone was great though!

I read reviews on Show Score that said this should be on Broadway. I saw it last night and said to my friend, "If this had gone to Broadway, it would be massacred." There seems to be a very subtle socialist agenda attached to the new book which I felt awkward, and Malone's closing line left me cold. The stand-out is David Aron Damane as J.J. who reminded me of a young Norm Lewis. The marriage battle duet (I can't think of the name right now) is fabulous, reminding me of "You're Just in Love" from "Call Me Madam" and "Old Fashioned Wedding" from the revival of "Annie Get Your Gun", as well as "All For You" from "Desperate Measures".

It can extend at Abron Arts Center and fill the house, but having seen the tour with Debbie Reynolds and Harve Presnell in 1989 at the Pantages in Hollywood, I prefer the original book which if missing the social points this new book is trying to make is far more entertaining. They tried to shove too much material of importance in a 2 1/2 period of time, and it never really flowed. That being said, if there is ever a mini-series about the real life of Molly Brown (with or without songs), I'd love to see the whole story. This version will completely split the audience. For those who read the show score reviews, their ranking percentage for "Positive" is far too low (70%) where it should be 85% and above. There are "Molly Brown" reviews at 71% marked positive where the user gave it a mixed review. That's the reason I stopped reviewing on there because it really doesn't reflect what people think accurately. It will be interesting to see what the Times has to say when it opens in two weeks.

How is the re-purposed score?  Did they retain "Are You Sure?" my favorite from the OBC? Classic Willson. I understand it was moved around twice, but is no longer in the position it was placed originally.

Was there last night - got the $25 today tix rush and were seated 3rd row center (C8 and C9). I went in completely blind having no clue to the original so cannot comment on changes but after googling a bit it seems a lot has changed. It's very much about her advocacy and pro women rights, pro immigrants, pro-redistribution messages etc. Overall I had a good time and thought the cast was great. Beth Malone was nice to see in a leading lady role after she has talked a lot about having a hard time being taken seriously as a love interest of a man after doing Fun Home. And David Aron Damane as JJ was the other standout to me. The handed out little slips of paper as you went in each with a name and bio of someone from the Titanic. The slip said you were that persons loved one and to remember their names as Molly at Pier 54 will ask you to share info on your loved ones. But all that happened was she called out one persons name (i forgot the name) and was like "Is 'Susans' family here? and a lady in the audience said yes and Molly replied "she's safe, i just saw her in the hospital" or something like that. So I don't know what the point of that was and why I was holding this paper the whole show just for that but it was cool info to read I guess.

The song list from the playbill is:
