Anything new on Almost Famous... Dec 22

Last night at the Light in the Piazza stage door Solea said that they are currently aiming for Broadway in the fall.
I really want to see this, but it depends on if I get tickets for Last Week Tonight (I know it's a long shot). The only slot I have open for the trip while this is playing is Sunday night
CATS Film Adaptation Thread Dec 20

Here’s my friends review. He hasn’t seen the stage version.
“ The lights dim for previews proceeding our 9:30 showing of Cats. I had seen the reviews and thought I knew what I was in for, clearly I was mistaken, and clearly the rest of you are wiser than I. As the lights dim for the feature presentation, my thoughts are confirmed: we are the only two people who showed up to see Cats. I'm sure you want a review. To be honest I have seen worse films, but simply put, Cats is the worst exp
SouthernCakes said: "What makes the production value so bad? Just cause it’s built to tour?"
I wouldn't say the production value is bad for what it is. This production started as a twenty performance run at a concert hall. The set is quite stationary.
dramamama611 said: "What am I missing: how are Rent or Ave Q HISTORICAL? (I don't see it.)"
They aren't historical. I'm guessing SouthernCakes meant that in the past shows with American themes like Rent or Avenue Q haven't had as much success in London as they did in New York.
Light in the Piazza tour - Broadway transfer? Dec 17

I was lucky enough to see it while in London this summer, and will be seeing it in Chicago on Saturday. Personally, I loved it and can’t wait to see this production again. Renee Flemming is incredible and Rob Houchen steals the show. However, I don’t think that it belongs on Broadway in its current state. If you read the London reviews they were quite mixed. If it were to go the production value would have to be amped up a bit. I’m happy to answer any questions about the production.
West Side Story Seating Advice Dec 15

I have tickets for the end of Feb after opening. They’re Row F orch center. Seeing the pictures and reading this thread is making me nervous about the stage height. Would it be worth it to call Telecharge and see if I can move a couple rows back? Considering I payed the premium prices I would like to make sure I can see everything. Thanks!

It would be great if one of the theatre owners would get the Mark Hellinger Theatre back from the Times Square Church. It’s a great mid sized theatre.

Received an email that Broadway in Detroit will be announcing their season in January. That’s quite a bit earlier than usual.
Spongebob Tour Cast Rumor Dec 4

Does anyone know if all the tour stops have a lottery? If there is one I’d like to enter when it’s in Detroit at the end of the month, but I haven’t seen anything regarding a lottery.

I get that key changes happen, but they're usually reserved for a "name" or someone of note- tell the actors auditioning with the original keys and getting rejected that it's not a big deal. As an Artist myself, I think it's at least worth mentioning. Elphaba has options on changes she can make as are tau

Top ticket price of $996 for Hamilton. I can’t believe people are paying those prices.

CAROLINE, OR CHANGE tickets on sale Nov 7

Do you think they’re holding back some tickets for when they go on sale to the general public? I’m hoping to get better seats than what’s available for the date I’m looking at.
I didn't want to make a special trip into the city for this since I'm coming in in February. However, when I saw the casting announcement that completely changed. This is such an amazing cast that I already bought tickets this morning. Particularly excited for Matt Doyle and Jennifer Simard.
