I always enjoy reading After Eight's comments...totally agreed. If it failed to engage me and entertain me, it's an F! If I can't wait to leave a show, it's an F! The end.
It was a treat, I had to see it twice. Both stars were glamorous, wearing great gowns, the physical fight was hilarious, the whole play flew by and it was funny and witty and bitchy. The interview they both did on Larry King Live was legendary also. Linda is such a sweet woman, Joan also was great in this...both women looked amazing in it and I feel that both were great stage actresses.
For anyone to compare Natasha Richardson's performance to Liza's, it's a huge insult. Liza is legendary for playing that role so well, the fact that she is an amazing singer and dancer made it even better. She is not supposed to be untalented, no one would give a spot to anyone at a cabaret show if she had no talent.
It was her who needed to bury the hatchet, he never mentions her, she is not on his radar. She wrote a book trashing the man that made her famous. He is on another level...she is a bitter has-been known for being mean to her assistants and mean/diva-ish to people in general.
If this woman calls you "mentally unstable" it means she is projecting. She is mentally unstable, and not in touch with reality, she was paid a million dollars for not working. Any of us, would have put that in the bank, lived off the interest every month or maybe invest or buy a home and thank that man for the rest of our lives. She bought a freaking swimming pool and complained about it for 25 years, that's how much of a spoiled rich bitch she is. Try being unemploy
I love reading the BS in this board, CZJ turned this into a sold out hit. Then Bernadette replaced her and the show closed. Do the math. Catherine was a much sexier Desiree and was brilliant in this and delivered the lines with glamour and pizzazz. She is my favorite Desiree.
I don't know why some people like to make up stuff, but I saw the show from the balcony and this is a tiny tiny Broadway theater, the view was amazing from the balcony.
I saw the show last weekend, spent $99 on balcony tix, and to be honest, the show is worth only $30-50 in my point of view. I overpaid because I got to see Bette Midler. Not sure how people can afford to spend this kind of money nowadays.
