I've been a Krakowski fan forever, but watching this new season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is driving home how much of an absolute, bona fide star she is. Talk about talent, and she can make me laugh like no other!
If you could pick one role for Jane Krakowski to return to Broadway, what would it be?
She's already played a bubbly blonde (Ilona), and it wouldn't really be hard for her to channel Audrey. I think I'd be front row to see Jane in a production of Little Shop.
^ normally I'd agree with this, but I want Miriam Shor as Miranda Priestly. I agree that her Audrey would be sensational, but I really do want her in Mame. I doubt it will happen unless her star rises dramatically over the next few years from an Oscar movie or something.

Continuing the Dolly dreamcasts, how about Ernestina Money? I know the role is super minor, but if Jennifer Simard didn't make me laugh, I don't know who will. Jane would really fit the comedic type role
Someone should do a musical version of the film Pillow Talk. Jane would be great in the Doris Day part--she has that innocent face with just a whisper of the sarcastic that would be great in that role. Get Hugh Jackman for the Rock Hudson role, Andrew Rannells for the Tony Randall role, and Linda Lavin in the Thelma Ritter part as the alcoholic housekeeper.

She did some of the workshops of Charity for the Weissler's revival ten years ago. I know she did some and Marissa Tomei did at least one before they cast Applegate.
