What do you think? I'll say no Tony for Bette.

I second that. Also, Stephanie J Block or Jenn Collela instead of RBJ.

Okay for real though. Ben and Bette are untouchable in their categories. I think we can stop speculating there. Biggest upset for me would be Dave Malloy not winning either Orchestrations or Score.

While I wont beb "upset" I can see Michael Greif taking the Tony from Rachel Cavkin. I dont think this will happen but its a possibility!

Who thinks Denee could take the award? I'd pick her before Eva if neither Bette, Pattie or Christine were to win.

I don't think it would be an upset, but I'd be pumped if GREAT COMET won Best Musical.

The big upsets: Pasek and Paul for Best Score, SJB or Colella for Featured Actress (I'd love a three-way tie!), Michael Greif for Director, or literally anyone but Dave Malloy for Orchestrations.

Not having a musical number for Dolly with Bette.  Aside from the speculative articles that appeared last week, there's been no official announcement made yet.

Pasek and Paul winning Score is the exact opposite of a musical.

If I had to guess: Come From Away is shut out in every other category but takes Best Musical.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

If I was forced to bet on a true upset, (meaning that I got good enough oddds) I'd bet on CFA winning Best Musical. I think DEH should win and will win, but an upset is in the air.

At this rate, I'm saying Great Comet taking Best Musical. I think voters are now largely deciding between CFA and DEH, and that's going to allow Comet to rise up and take the win (which would ultimately be a rightful one, in my opinion).

If Dave Malloy loses score to Pasek/Paul, I will be pissed. Mainly bc nothing is as ambitiuos, origional, or creative as Great Comet this year and to be honest Dear Evan Hansen's score sucks. It all sounds exactly the same.

Andrew Rannells taking Featured Actor. All of the conversation seems to have been around Creel vs. Steele, but I think he could sneak in.

@JudyDenmark, it could be that creel/steele split the vote I could see Uranowitz sneaking in for the win. I feel like it wouldn't be rannells or faist though

Surely Rannells and Uranowitz are more likely to split the Falsettos vote.

The thing is at least to me, Rannells was good in Falsettos, but Uranowitz was incredible so i dunno

Although it won't happen, it keeps running through my mind that Patti and Christine win in a tie. That would be a real shocker. And I would be fine with it!

Falsettos.

But it wouldn't be a surprise to me.

Everything is so close and deserving that there are a LOT of "upset" things I could see happening. Including but not limited too....

- Great Comet or Come From Away taking Best Musical from Dear Evan Hansen
- Falsettos taking down Hello Dolly for Revival (*FINGERS CROSSES*)
- Bette taking the bulk of the backlash for the producers Tony Performance drama and being robbed of the Best Actress award because of it
- Enough voters see Andy Karl's recovery from his injury as a reason to vote for that old reliable guy that's done his time in many a show and he takes Best Actor

BUT those are all things that are I still think are unlikely to happen. The ONE thing that I would put money on ACTUALLY happening on Sunday...
- Enough voters, knowing that Come From Away has no chance at the majority of it's categories but they don't want to see it walk away empty handed, decided to vote Jenn in the very close featured actress category, taking the expected win from RBJ. Yet at the end of the day it should be Block's award in the first place.

The biggest upset for me would be Chavkin losing best direction.

The two upsets I want to see that I think could happen are Andy Karl for best actor and Dave Malloy for best score.

DEH losing best musical to CFA or Comet. Unlikely but plausible, and something I'd love to see just for the drama online.

(And let's be real, DEH does NOT need the tony. Comet and CFA would really benefit from having "BEST MUSICAL" plastered on their ads)

My thought exactly. CFA's stock seems to be rising, but I don't see it taking the other Tony's for which it is nominated.

I know this is unlikely but I actually think there could be a Great Comet wave that sees it winning most or all technical awards & then Best Musical with Dear Evan Hansen taking Actor, Book, & Score, and Come From Away getting shut out.

I don't know if I'd bet on that, I just have a gut feeling something like that could happen.
