I'm pretty sure it was the Broadway Theater in which I saw Zero in the early 70's revival of Fiddler. The size of the theater suited him and the production just fine as I recall.
Not sure which theater it was where I first saw Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway (ETA: just checked--it was the Imperial)-- regardless, it was the first Broadway musical I ever saw, then starring the nearly forgotten Harry Goz (who also seemed to fill his theater with no apparent difficulty).
"I wonder what the new production's choreographer Hofesh Shecther will bring to the table when it comes to "based on original conceptions and dances by Jerome Robbins". If it's just like what Joshua Bergasse did in ON THE TOWN and Christopher Gattelli's work on THE KING AND I; then I'm in."
Aren't they contractually obligated to use much of Robbin's choreography?
Laura Michelle Kelly should reprise her role of Hodel

It would be nice to see how much she's changed in the last 10 years.

Actually, Sally Murphy was 41/42. (Not sure what she publicly gives as her age, but she was born in October 1962). However, she has always read considerably younger throughout her career, and she didn't seem too mature for the role.
Laura Michelle Kelly, however, DID seem a bit mature for Hodel ten years ago, when she was the right age (or close to it). Add that to the fact that she wasn't that great to begin with.
Alexandra Socha would make a terrific Tzeitel or Hodel.
Hopping into the party late (as I just came across the shows official website: http://fiddlerontheroof2015.com) and backing my comment from last month on what this revival will offer marketing wise that the last few revivals did not: I absolutely love the artwork for this. Wow.

I thought that was true of The King and I, but I guess enough was changed to get Gattelli a Tony nomination. (Although I thought the highlight of The King and I was the Small House of Uncle Thomas ballet, which I thought was all the original Robbins choreography.)
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.
