So, I'm at Lady Day hoping to rush and just want to make sure there is a rush because no one is here. Has anyone rushed lately?

LOL aww, I feel so bad for you. The same thing happened to me in September. I was doing SRO for the Wednesday matinee of Book of Mormon and I stood out there for like two hours. Nobody there. Then they were supposed to do lotto and there was no lotto or crowd for the lotto. Turns out they changed their schedule and I didn't know. I felt like such an idiot. :P Then I sprinted to the Kinky Boots lotto and lost, then sprinted to TKTS and ended up getting rear mezz seats for Big Fish for like $40. It was quite a date lol

Thanks for the info and sympathy. Gives us a good.opportunity to try for Hedwig tonight. Hope we have a good shot, so want to see it!

Now... If I try tomorrow for Lady Day, what's a safe time to get there to almost (know there is no guarantee) ensure we get tix?

When I rushed today we got in line about 9:20 and was 9th. Nobody else showed up until right at 10am and there seemed to be plenty of tickets. I got mine as did the person behind me.

Just home from rush. Scored 2 tickets. This is the second time I have rushed this show and the second time they have only had 10 tickets available for rush. After the rush tickets were sold they had $97 tickets available. Just an FYI, I got up there about 8ish this morning (same thing the first time I rushed). The next person got there a little after 8 and after that 8:15, 8:20, basically the last person who got tickets was there well before 9 am. So if you want tickets get there early.

At least they (the box office people, I assume) put a sign saying so. It would be super annoying to wait for hours to find out there was no rush.

^That happened the day I tried to rush. Was first in line, waited for two hours, and no rush. Thankfully, they offered us the standing room spots!

I went today at around 11am on my way into work just on the off chance they had availability, and they told me they haven't been offering rush this week and wont be offering it for the rest of the week (through the weekend). They told me they'd try to offer it again next week, and that when they cant offer it they try their best to post a sign so people don't wait for no reason.

They only have standing room when they're completely sold out. I've tried to get it a couple times, but the show has never sold out. :-/ The box office said it's likelier on weekends, though.

Yes, they only have standing room when they're completely sold out, and it was my understanding that they usually offer it an hour before the show, they just offered it to us because they felt bad that there was no rush and we were waiting for hours. I never really got word on what the official policy for what time they start selling standing room was.

Just clarifying, as far as anyone knows, as of right now, Lady Day is not offering rush whatsoever, or they are offering rush occasionally and in theory, if I walked by the theatre the night before and there was no rush to be offered the next day there would be a sign posted? With the understanding that the box office people might have also forgotten to post the sign saying no rush would be offered. But standing room seats are sold when the performance is sold out for every performance?

I was hoping to see the show June 2nd, is the feeling that trying to see it before Tonys is a pipe dream?

Without bread we'd just be hungry but without theatre we'd be dead

I have successfully rushed it twice. But both times they only were offering 10 tickets (2 per person). With Tony Voters rushing to see the shows, I am sure that is cutting in to rush seats. Also I rushed on week days. I am not sure about the weekends. It is totally worth it to try, even if they offer you standing room. It is only a 90 minute show.

So, is 5p the earliest they hand out SRO for the night show? Or anytime after the matinee once they know the show is sold out?

Thinking of trying this on Saturday after ticktickBOOM... since Saturday night seems a likely candidate for a sell out (hard to tell for this show, since they don't let you see the whole interactive seat map)

Does anyone know if they sell rush tickets on Weekends for Lady Day? I'd like to see the show tomorrow but I've read mixed reports about rush tickets on weekends? Also any update on suggested time for arrival? I was thinking around 8AM but can do earlier if needed.

Thanks

Lately, every time I've passed by the theatre on weekends, there is always a sign up that says "There will be no rush tickets available for today's/tonight's performance." You are better off trying during the week, I think.

Just wanted to give an update on general rush for Lady Day.
This past Friday afternoon I stopped by the CITS box office to inquire about rush tickets for Saturday. The box office gentleman said they will have rush on any day unless the show is close to selling out in which case they would not offer rush.

He mentioned that Saturday's matinee was only a few seats away from sold out and that no rush would be offered. He added that the evening perf. has many open seats and would likely have rush. So I arrived Sat morning about 6:45am for Lady Day. I was #6 in line. I didn't stay around much longer after I bought my tickets but it seemed like they had a good number of rush tix available. Though no more than 20 or so I would say.

Note that there was no sign posted when I arrived Saturday morning indicating that rush would only be offered for the evening performance. Shortly before 10am someone announced to those queued up that rush would only be offered for the evening performance. I recommend to anyone interested in rushing the show to stop by the box office to see about the likelihood of rush tickets for the day you want to go.
Good Luck

mirdley2, could you tell me where the rush seats were? Wherever they have the seats left? Thank you so much!
