I went to the Marquis. They did not dim any lights. They had Jan's picture up on the Marquis LCD screen with "In loving memory of Jan Maxwell 1956-2018" from 8-8:01. There were about 60 people there, some who seemed very close to Jan and were very emotional. If you search her name as a hashtag on instagram, you can see it.
The one five days ago was more than likely considered a tech rehearsal, which was the exact same thing, but they would have been more likely to stop in the case of anything that needed fixing as opposed to during the dress, where they would only stop the show if completely necessary.
It's a definite skip it. Honestly, I cant contemplate how people are getting paid by a non-profit to allow such crap to be produced at all, never mind with an Oscar winner in NYC.
Why is Megan McGinnis not as big as the rest of the cast? She wasn't the original, but listening to the album now, I think she's definitely a better singer and she was fantastic overall.
Also, a mouse ran down the right aisle of the orchestra during the second act. I'd never seen one in a theatre, but being in the Lion King theatre, I immediately thought "Where is Scar?"
Go to the point of purchase and ask for an exchange. They're accommodating when they can be and also you can past date it and use it for a weekday performance that is not sold out.
If they don't want to dim the lights, won't there just be another ruckus ala Joan Rivers? I was thinking last night about how she probably would have landed a huge TV or Film had she not so often been contracted for Broadway and off-Broadway productions.
You can stop by Triton Gallery. I think they're open Mondays and buy a poster from the original show beforehand if you want to try and get that signed.
Theatre Extras seems to overall have the best selection. I've seen at least a dozen Broadway shows in the past 6 months through them and they also get sports games and concerts. Play by Play doesn't have quite as much, but they also get more Broadway than Gold Club. I have all of them and they definitely all pay for themselves.
I can never find him believable as an actor. His success boggles my mind. I was the biggest Glee fan and could not understand how he got cast practically as a nobody.

This is literally the only negative thing I read or heard about this production. Most people definitely loved it, including myself.
As a huge Disney fan who flew out from NYC to see it, they need to throw everything out, hire everyone anew and put up a completely different show, especially Anna and Kristoff. The Disneyland stage version is leagues better and what a Disney production should be, Disney. The only thing they should keep is however the dress change was done, but the staging of Let it Go was high school quality at best.

Waitress - I think the original Broadway production misses on a lot of emotional marks. That score and story deserved a better director"
There aren't many better directors than Diane Paulus, but I do think the show and her vision just didn't mesh. I love the Sara Bareilles album but I hate the show so much.
