What do you give up to afford Broadway? Jun 10

Nothing, between TDF, rush tickets, lotteries, and a site I cannot mention, i manage to see almost everything cheap of free. That affords me to spend money on the shows i cannot see cheap of free like Harry Potter.

Bought tickets back in the original lottery. First time slot for tonight. Had row T seats 1 to 11. Expensive? YES, worth it, YES. One or 2 things minor sight problems but sound and another thing (cant give it away) made up for being slightly under the overhang. You Can see over the heads of the people in front of you because of the step up. People behind us were looking at the back of our heads.

As a much older adult, I never liked the Spongbob cartoon. That being said, I enjoyed the musical. Will it win? Goddess, I hope not. TBV is so freaking good, sometimes a small show (like ONCE) comes along and the smart people get it.(yes, I am calling some of you not smart, I am old and cranky, get over it) Haven't seen Mean Girls (no desire, movie was so so) and my friends description of Frozen on stage, froze my desire to see it(never saw the movie either) and I despise that flipping song

My issue with it was where our seats were it was almost impossible to ignore and it would lag for almost a page of dialogue then speed through or skip the next 3 pages to get caught up.
Went to the Opera in Amsterdam and they were doing 3 languages on the same screen. It was flawless. Yes, I had seen the opera many times before. Both in German and English.
Tuesday night was a disaster. You could tell it was not a Roundabout production. They never would have let that crap fly.
BroadwayAndSports said: "Actually while the real life story was in Levittown, the show took place outside of Pittsburgh. That's why they emphasized the dead steel industry."
They could have set it in Bristol Pa, the next town over. They had a dead steal industry too.

Was at the show on Tuesday. Was really looking forward to seeing it. I loved the movie. This was the most boring pos I have seen in a long time. The subtitle thing was a total disaster. Been to the Met many times and I know it can be done flawlessly. JJ showed almost no emotion. Total disappointment. Avoid, avoid avoid.

I grew up in Levittown. It was nothing like the show.
If you can get down to Union Square, I HIGHLY recommend In And Of Itself. It's an amazing story telling magic (I know) show that left me speechless. 75 minutes that really made me think. I saw it about 24 hours ago and I am still flipped out.
I second The Bands Visit. Small, touching, amazing piece of theater. Pulling for a Tony award for best musical. If you can get a ticket for the mezz off to the right.
