How will Frozen 2 affect Frozen Broadway? Aug 20

Holy crap, you weren’t kidding about the ticket prices. Premium is $149 and most orchestra are $99-$115. Interesting. I wish other shows would follow suit.

I have a few friends who saw it through TDF and their seats were all balcony. Don’t worry though, the balcony at the Hudson is GREAT and I honestly prefer it to most Broadway mezzanines.

In case you were still curious, I saw on Twitter someone saying that he gave a great performance yesterday, so I’m assuming he is back.
Sound Inside or Betrayal? Aug 12

I always expect to be some sort of uncomfortable in a Broadway theatre, sometimes I’m surprised with the nice amount of leg room and sometimes I’m forced to sit in the second circle of Hell (the rear mezzanine at Studio 54).

PV tickets for Betrayal will be much better than the LincTix for Sound.
Why Do the Tony Awards delete all their YouTube videos? Aug 9
2019, 12:06:24 PM
This doesn’t deal with the Tony Awards specifically but I think if a show performs on a talk show or something, they specifically can only be on YouTube for a specific amount of time. I was looking for a specific performance from The Prom recently and it was deleted on YouTube everywhere but I went back to the episode or the talk show on Hulu and it was still on there in full.
Last Performance Experiences Aug 8

I’ve been to quite a few as well but these are the ones that really stick out to me.
My “first” final performance was when I went to Laura Bell Bundy’s final performance of Legally Blonde. LBB did many funny improv lines (“Bruiser loves Battlestar Galactica!”) and she received a long standing ovation. She started crying and pulled a tissue out of her bra and motioned for everyone to sit down, most did but a few others started clapping again and that went on for a bit longer. Many tears

No, they don’t. The show is pretty much sold out for awhile at this point and if it isn’t, it likely will be by showtime.
SEA WALL/A LIFE to Broadway Jul 27
2019, 06:50:27 AM
Actually, never mind. I just saw a video from the stage door and it looked like massive insanity. How bizarre, when I saw Sunday there were maybe 60 people there and it was gorgeous outside. Maybe the crowds will die down after the first few days.

Honestly, I doubt the stage door will be that crazy. When I saw Sunday, I was very easily able to get a front of the barricade spot (and that was walking all around the block, not cutting through the hotel, didn’t realize that was a thing). If you go right there, I’m sure you’ll be fine.
A few years ago, my boyfriend and I were getting on the subway and this woman passed us. He said that it was Jennifer Nettles and was freaking out because she is his favorite. We were waiting for the train, standing right behind her and he told me to say something to her because he couldn’t. I looked at her, didn’t think it was her but he kept insisting it was. I said to her “excuse me...” she turns and I realize it actually
CHER SHOW TDF! Jul 25
2019, 07:44:44 PM
I saw it back at the beginning through TDF and got row D mezz, dead center. I thought the mezz was SUPER far away before the show started but it didn’t bother me once the show started. Can’t imagine seeing a show from the back of that mezz though, no matter what price.

I also grabbed a ticket for October. I saw The Color Purple from the side of the mezzanine and can’t remember anything being partial view but I’m definitely curious how partial these will be since they are so cheap. I don’t think any lighting fixtures will be in the way.
Advice Regarding My Upcoming Trip Jul 25

If you are incredibly excited for Tootsie, I wouldn’t miss it but I really disliked it. Terrible music but had a decently funny book but incredibly overlong. I thought it was a slog and the worst musical I saw from last season.

I would assume there will be a TodayTix rush, it isn’t selling particularly well.
