I was there too! I've seen her perform before and found myself thinking what an amazing gift she is to all of us. The voice, the compassion, the inner and outer beauty. I adore her and when she said she was heading to Phoenix next, I seriously tried to figure out how long it would take to get there!
Peter, thank you for sharing! Forgive me, im sure this is known but almost everyone, is there a way to download the album or is it just to be watched/listened to on youtube?

I hope rush will continue in the future. Seems all shows are going digital lottery which is virtually impossible to win and for those out of town, even less of a chance. As a mom with two theatre fanatic kids, I have always been able to venture to NYC on a pretty tight budget, knowing I am almost guaranteed to be able to get tickets if I get in line early enough. We've seen 7 shows in 5 days with an average cost of about $25/$30 a ticket, the only way we could afford to have such a immersiv
I saw the original cast with my older daughter, amazing, and then a year later another cast (in NY) and was really disappointed/underwhelmed. I hear the touring company is incredible (im in LA and will see it in December). I wouldn't spend that kind of money now if you are able to see it on tour. So many great shows there now and coming soon.

Go in cold. It's a fascinating story that deserves to be told as intended by the playwright. You won't be disappointed.
By any chance will anyone be going to see DEH in the next couple weeks that may be able to pick up one of the limited edition Pride Playbills for me? My daughter was so touched by the story, she would flip to have one of the special Playbills. Id love to surprise her. Thanks so much!
This bothers me so much. Business wise, I get strike while the iron is hot but theatre is becoming so expensive and there are so few ways to get inexpensive tickets. I did go a few months ago and waited in line in the dead of night to get standing room but with so few offered, and tickets so expensive, it makes it impossible for so many people to see the show. I loved the show and would love to see it again but wow, I could never afford if buying tickets at that price
Thanks for the info! Are you saying that you have to be a subscriber for the group ticket option or just have an account. I definitely have an account but never heard anything. I guess there isn't anything to do now, will try tomorrow with the Am Ex presale but ugh, not looking forward to that, I hate buying through ticketmaster and their crazy fees, makes it near impossible to go financially. I wonder if Am Ex offers cheap seats during the presale?
How were you able to get group tickets? I called a few times in the last six months and could never find anyone with information how and when to get them. Any info would be great, want to try to get the cheapest seats if possible and hate the idea of spending overnight in Hollywood the day they go on sale.

I completely agree! I saw it with the original cast last year and again on March 28th with my daughter, who had been looking forward to it since its opening. She is a huge fan of the story and music. The night we went the energy level was so far below the original time I saw it. None of the magic that was there the first time. I couldn't put my finger on why but it was really disappointing. We were really disappointed.
My daughter went Friday night and also had rude people sitting directly behind her. They were talking and singing loudly through the whole show. They were told many times to stop but they didn't. These people seriously think the behavior is ok!
Passover is a week, starting Monday night the 10th. Usually only first night, maybe 2nd are celebrated. He wouldn't be out Wednesday on for Passover even if he went home (most likely). Hope he isn't sick, such a demanding role, he looked so exhausted after the show I saw.
I didn't know they did standing room. My daughter is still trying to find a way to see the show this afternoon but is on a tight budget. There are a few tickets still available for regular price, should she go over to the box office and wait for them to sell out? I didn't realize standing room was an option for Waitress.
My daughter would love to see Waitress tomorrow. Since there are no rush or discounts available (and she's on a pretty tight budget), is Stubhub last minute the best plan? You think there is chance that the remaining tickets could end up on tkts? Or, does the theatre ever discount the $100 tickets or is it just the premium that adjusts if there are many left?
My daughter saw it last night and absolutely hated it too. She said that not only was the show terrible, the sets terrible, but the kids in the audience would not be quiet, worse than a kid movie. I told her to go talk to the manager and tell him she wanted her money back (knowing that that was very unlikely) but I agree, that they charge so much for this is embarrassing!
