I'm sure it is...but this list is to keep track of what hadnt announced anything definitive yet.

Don't know if this has anything to do with it, but:

The Lyceum is indisputably among Broadway's worst houses: location, size, aesthetics, backstage, marquee, balcony. The Barrymore is among Broadway's very best houses. It's been almost 50 years since a musical recouped at the Lyceum. If theatres have vacancies, it could be a great opportunity for a show like SING STREET to move to a more desirable theatre.

The Barrymore is just a beautiful space. It's the perfect size for a show like Sing Street - not too big and not too small.

Oh look, a bibu!

It’s been about two years since the Sing Street kids were cast. As sad as it is for them, haven’t they aged out by now? Saw it downtown and thought they were talented, so it won’t be an easy feat to recast. Hopefully they did a little work on the show. It was good but needed a little extra oomph.

A Christmas Carol is supposed to return to Broadway during the 2021 Holiday season.

Why the delay in announcing the return dates for these productions?  Any rumored dates anyone hearing?

New productions that had not even had a chance to come to Broadway I get, but I am shocked that Hadestown has been entirely mum.

It could be any number of things. I would guess that many of them are working hard to accommodate the schedules and needs of their actors.

For the Rudin shows, they're probably working out how things will be restructured behind the scenes (worth noting that Rudin produced Book of Mormon too)

Some showsmight still be in negotiations for a theatre, while some might be crunching the numbers and deciding whether it's in their best interest to return at all (though I think these are the minority of cases, if there are any that fall into this category at all).

Also, it's possible that some shows that have already announced their intention to return in the Spring don't feel any need to make any formal announcements at this time.

And there are probably many other possible reasons that I can't even think of offhand.

Does anyone remember an Our Town revival being announced for this spring, last summer. It was a Rudin production, so probably not going to happen. Still thought I’d should mention it.

I've started to panic about Hadestown. I was supposed to see it last year and going to Broadway is fairly rare for me so it's really special and I wish I had an idea for when my family needs to think about rescheduling our trip. The website says they're announcing soon (which essentially says they are planning to return), but I'm just praying and crossing my fingers that they don't push the reopening date TOO far off... It just seems a bit concerning when almost all the other shows have announced their new dates...

The majority of these actors were already in their late teens/early twenties playing high schoolers, so I don't think aging out is an issue like a show that uses actual child actors.

That's very true. I love to see shows at the Ethel Barrymore!

Yeah, people in their early 20s don't really age out of being teens, so I think the cast will be similar if not the same. Sing Street and Flying Over Sunset are the shows Im most looking forward to.

Same, had tickets to the first preview of "Flying Over Sunset" when it was announced at like 4pm that Broadway was shut down.

On the Jujamcyn website, it says Hadestown will be announcing its first show soon, so there's a very quite confirmation it's coming back

I was curious about Hadestown, and checked Ticketmaster last week out of curiosity. They still had every performance through August as cancelled and no ability to purchase September 1-5. Now nothing is listed. So, we will probably hear something soon.

Any word on Hades?  Had there been no pandemic, Amber Grays and Patrick Paige's contracts were supposed to end Spring 2020. Wonder if that is the issue.

I heard on 5/19 that Mormon was undergoing some rewrites to its script b/c of racist dialogue?

Music M isn't in your list, but I thought someone posted they can't announce until they have a known producer other than Mr. Rude.  Perhaps the same problem w/Mockingbird & WSS? Several news articles (NY Times, New York) mentioned Mr. Rude had to find new producers.

No need to announce anything for The Music Man, except for new ticket sales.

The Music Man Broadway Tickets (telecharge.com)

It has never announced that it would not open. It simply reassigned new dates for tickets already bought because of the pandemic. Ticketholders were given 3 options (confirm new dates/exchange for new dates/refund) on what they are entitled to do. The exchange period continues as of now.

When Hugh Jackman announced that they are rebuilding the production post-Scott Rudin, it was the reassurance needed that the show will open as announced as the show hinged on whether he would continue to headline the show or not.. Presumably, they are already at a stage that much of the work needed to move on for the production may have been completed or easy to complete. The fact that he is going to film a movie (The Son) and that Sutton is going to headline "Anything Goes" in London in the summer to early fall is reassuring in the sense that all that might be needed for The Music Man will be the start of full rehearsals in October.

The announcement of a new lead producer is presumably going to take place at some future date.
