Phantom to change to  Jul 21 2020, 11:07:21 AM

Sorry to say, but this has NOTHING to do with improving the show, or making it technologically 'up-to-date'.

Just like with the original London Les Mis, he is implementing these changes simply to save a few bucks paying the new designers and directors less than the royalties he has to pay to the show's original creators........

cause he simply hasn;t made enough money off these titles for the past 30+ years <insert side eye here>

Have been waiting years for this to be released on Blu Ray, and it's being given the Criterion Collection treatment to boot!

Biggest Tony upset of all time?  Mar 21 2019, 07:11:53 PM

the original production of Miss Saigon losing Best Musical to The Will Rogers Follies

Original Production of LES MISERABLES in London Will Take Hiatus and Re-Open With New Staging  Jan 8 2019, 10:21:47 AM

Absolutely the WORST decision EVER

Nothing can come close to the original staging.

Can someone PLEASE film this before the 'hiatus' so we can have a proper document of the masterpiece this show once was?

If only this production could actually be STAGED at Studio 54

Asking what he is 'up to' may be a little insensitive, considering he is doing the voiceovers for Cialis (talking about erectile dysfunction)........

Film Adaptation of SUNSET BOULEVARD in the Works! Will Glenn Close Reprise Her Role?  Jan 6 2016, 03:25:53 PM

CarlosAlberto said: "Excuse you but Michelle Pfeiffer just finished filming one movie and is in the midst of filming another. She still gets work.

"

True..... i'm aware that she is still working.  I only meant to imply that she isn't as 'in demand' for big studio releases as she once was, even if that is by choice.

Film Adaptation of SUNSET BOULEVARD in the Works! Will Glenn Close Reprise Her Role?  Jan 6 2016, 01:47:48 PM

If there is to be a screen adaptation, someone needs to cast Michelle Pfeiffer as Norma stat!  The woman can sing, is a fantastic actress, and hasn't been getting much work lately so I'm sure she can relate to the character

Linda Eder new CD -  Nov 10 2015, 06:24:02 PM

Don't think this will be available on Amazon or iTunes - her last 2 CDs have been done independently and available only thru her website or at her shows. I think she's currently not tied to any recording label (?), and this release should be no different.

With a title like Retro, I got excited that perhaps she'd finally release her version of At Last - she sang it BEAUTIFULLY on her Memory Lane tour, and it was conspicuously left off her Linda Live CD (still a great rec

Hedwig - Movie and Show!  Aug 15 2015, 07:12:44 PM

I've said it before and I'll say it again..... Why oh why is this beautiful movie STILL not available on blu-ray?

Hedwig - Movie and Show!  Aug 15 2015, 06:14:15 PM

The film and the stage show are completely different beasts..... The film has STUNNING visuals and performances, and Hedwig's back story is acted out (rather than told in monologue form as in the show). Seeing the film first shouldn't deter from enjoying the live show at all. And let me add, your first live Hedwig should NOT be Taye Diggs

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 8/2/15  Aug 4 2015, 06:31:25 PM

How wonderful for Something Rotten, but i still ponder whether Side Show would be pulling those kinda numbers if it were allowed to find an audience and get some Tony exposure....... Yeah, I'm still bitter
