July, 18: A Midsummer Night's Dream Opening (July 29) performance tickets are no longer available online. A few seats are still available. Call (205) 621-2128 and leave a message. Tickets for all other performances are still available online. For now!

Directed by Lisa Ponder, the cast features Steven Ross, Bill Nixon, Benjamin Kitchens, Alex Arnold, Lee Green, Tonya Marshall, Robin Rushing, Sharon Morgan, Ryan Gerrells, Gabrielle Metz, Karin Callahan, Donna Williamson, Anna Whitlock, Julia Spring, Todd Ponder, Marissa Blount, Amy Strickland, Ashley Pope, Maddie Harper, Noah Duffy, Alyssa Norwood, and AJ Nichols.

In SCT’s version, Theseus has completed his corporate take-over of Hippolyta's company and now claims her as his bride. Meanwhile, Hermia and Lysander are in love but Hermia's father insists she marry Demetrius. And what about poor Helena? Doesn't anyone want her? Anyone?

You are a part of the show from the moment you arrive. Dance the night away in Club Shroom with Theseus and Hippolyta as they celebrate their upcoming nuptials. Run away to the fairy woods with Hermia and Lysander as they defy her father's command that she marry Demetrius. Join the local carpenters union as they rehearse their original play for the Duke’s reception. These guys are working hard because they know that the audience will throw things at them if they suck (and they will!). But, be warned. Mystical creatures with magic potions play games with the lovers on-stage and with you, our audience.
