A Night of One Acts will begin with “Black Comedy” by Peter Shaffer which follows a London sculptor who has “borrowed his absent neighbors' furniture and other items to impress his fiancée's father. The neighbor returns just as a blown fuse plunges the apartment into darkness. A number of unexpected guests and other obstacles impede his attempts to return the ”borrowed” items. The cast stumbles around a ”pitch-black" room while the audience watches in full light.
After an intermission break “When Shakespeare's Ladies Meet” by Charles George will wrap up the evening. A funny little story about how Juliet has just fallen in love with Romeo and the other ladies of the Bard's imagination, Portia, Desdemona, Ophelia, and Katherine, convene to enlighten her on the best method of conducting a romance based on their own experiences and personalities.
