Take a look at our Winter Term information and pick a class! Get involved with the WBS Children's Theatre! Come Play With Us!WINTER 2011 TERM Togas to Tea Parties is the theme of our Winter 2011 Term. Each class of children, ages 5 to 17, will explore the origin of theatre as they learn basic to advanced acting techniques. Classes are designed to give all students an exposure to the theatre arts and develop their talents and interests in performing. For this term, a new approach to learning has been adopted. The "Togas" refers to the Greek Chorus. The theatre originated with a "chorus" that stepped forward and told the story. The "Tea Parties" refers to Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland". Each class will perform an excerpt from each era for the review. All classes blended will tell parts of the story of "Alice" as she discovers a new world and faces all sorts of interesting adversaries. Also, each class will present an age appropriate piece of a Greek play using music and the "chorus" to tell the story. CLASSES: JAN 10th-March 19th
