FPCT Presents JERUSALEM By Jez Buttersworth
by BWW News Desk - December 05, 2018
St. George's Day in England, the Morning of the county fair, the local drifting soul and pied piper of chaos Johnny "Rooster" Byron stirs the souls of his countrymen to forego the comforts of modern suburban life and raise their spirits in the countryside. His family want to spend the day with him, thugs want to teach him a lesson, the authorities want rid of him, but Rooster just wants more out of life. Having played on the West End and then to Broadway (and back to the West End), Jerusalem is a darkly comic and modern meditation on the spirit of a nation.

Two young men, Jack and Charley, scheme to catch the admiration of two young ladies by inviting them to meet Charley's worldly and wealthy aunt for dinner. When, at the last minute, Charley's aunt must cancel her visit, leaving the girls without a chaperone, Jack and Charley quickly convince their friend, Fancourt Babberley, to don a wig, a skirt, and a feminine air.  All seems to be solved, until the real aunt turns up, and hilarity ensues. BWW Review: Catch FIDDLER ON THE ROOF at Hippodrome Through 11/19/2018
by Cybele Pomeroy - November 15, 2018
FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is a wonderful show about joy amidst harsh circumstances, the importance of family and community. It's also about Tradition! It's nice to see familiar things updated but not bastardized. The cast is consistently wonderful with harmonious singing and excellent dancing throughout the show, with visually striking staging of sequences that don't technically qualify as dances.

MET Presents Christmas Tale WHO'S HOLIDAY
by BWW News Desk - November 14, 2018
Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to present Who's Holiday. You all may remember Cindy Lou Who from when she was a child, but now she's living a life that's really quite wild! She lives in a trailer, and she's had quite a time. Now, she'll tell you about it - while staying in rhyme! From the playwright Matthew Lombardo, Who's Holiday is a new kind of adult Christmas tale - full of laughs and rap, and not the least bit stale.
