Maryland's Bowie Community Theatre presents Michael and Susan Parker's play, 'Sex Please, We're Sixty' from todya, July 11th until July 26th. According to The City Wire, 'If you need a rollicking good time filled with laughter, this is a must-see play.' Performances will be on Fridays and Saturdays at 8PM, as well as Sundays at 2PM. (Please note there is an additional Saturday matinee on July 19th at 2PM.) Performances will be held at the Bowie Playhouse, White Marsh Recreation Park 16500 White Marsh Drive in Bowie, MD.

In May 2014, the Howard County Council approved County Executive Ken Ulman's FY15 arts appropriation of $1.45 million to the Howard County Arts Council (HCAC). This record amount, which includes $1 million for HCAC's annual budget - a 30% increase from FY14 - and $450,000 in one-time funding, will finance vital local and regional arts programming that will enrich the lives of County residents.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to present Lee Blessing's award winning 'Eleemosynary'. 'Eleemosynary' won the prestigious Los Angeles Drama Critics Award in 1997 for its penetrating study of three remarkable women. MET will present the play as part of its MET-X series. MET-X is programming, usually self-produced by Ensemble Members, created outside of MET's Mainstage season to expand the collective horizons of the Ensemble and its audience. 'Eleemosynary' will play from July 11-12 and July 18-19 at 8pm at Maryland Ensemble Theatre located in the historic FSK Hotel at 31 W Patrick Street in downtown Frederick.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to present the second installment of the comedy variety show, The Annual Live 2: The Sequeling. Join The Annual Live cast as a they find themselves in the middle of a heated Twitter campaign to cancel their show following a sketch that is unfit for press releases. In an attempt to straighten out the show's host (Kevin Cole) and the rest of the staff (Lisa Burl, Colleen Kelly, and Scott Travers) the network places a call to the convent to bring Karli Cole, the former co-host and current nun, to whip them into shape. Meanwhile, facing exile, Andrew Michaels, the show's sad sack, is forced to find love, someone who will look past every awkward and unlovable thing about him and take care of him for life. It's a comedic adventure that can safely be called The Larry Sanders Show meets Nunense meets Everybody Loves Raymond meets The Glass Menagerie,if none of those sound appealing then one might just want to stay in for the night.
