Earlier today it was announced that 54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, has a multi-year agreement with two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone. Twice yearly, LuPone will play two-week engagements at the venue. The agreement, which runs through 2016, launches with the upcoming July 21 - August 2 engagement, 'The Lady with The Torch.'

Roundabout Theatre Company is currently presenting the Violet, which plays a strictly limited engagement at Broadway's American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street) through August 10, 2014. Based on the short story 'The Ugliest Pilgrim' by Doris Betts, Violet features music by Jeanine Tesori, book & lyrics by Brian Crawley and direction by Leigh Silverman. Lea Salonga, the singing voice of Jasmine in the iconic ALADDIN film took a magic carpet ride to Broadway for a night to visit Aladdin himself - Adam Jacobs! Salonga provided the singing voice of two official Disney Princesses: Jasmine in Aladdin (1992), and Fa Mulan in Mulan (1998) and Mulan II (2004). She was named a Disney Legend in 2011 for her work with The Walt Disney Company. Most recently, she's toured with IL DIVO.

HOLLER IF YA HEAR ME, written by Todd Kreidler and directed by Kenny Leon, blazes to life in a non-biographical story about friendship, family, revenge, change and hope. Inner city lives struggle for peace against the daily challenges they face in this entertaining and original musical. Through the poetry of one of the 20th century's most influential and culturally prominent voices, we are given a window into realities of the streets still relevant today. The show opened last night, June 19 at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway at 47th Street), and BroadwayWorld was there for all of the festivities. On the heels of its Tony® Award win for Best Musical, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder brought its award home to the Walter Kerr Theatre yesterday, June 18, to allow fans to pose with the prized medallion immediately following that day's matinee performance.
