Beau Higgins - Page 180

Beau Higgins Currently spending his time between New York and Florida, Beau was born to a theatrical family in Brooklyn. He studied drama at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute and at HB Studios. He studied theater singing with Julia Sperratore and Helen Gallagher. Beau later taught drama at the Lincoln Center Square for the Arts. It was at this time Beau began working with the Theater Development Fund and helped found New York's famed HALF PRICE TICKET BOOTH. Early in his career, Beau was screen tested and contracted for Warner Brothers. He co-hosted, an early cable variety series on Manhattan's Teleprompter channel. At this time he directed the Johnny Specca musical, SEX IS..? at the Lincoln Center Library Theater. Beau has performed Off-Broadway in FAT FELL DOWN, The Comic Strip Theater's LITTLE LULU AND THE INVISIBLE INK and WILL THE REAL ZOOPERMAN PLEASE STAND UP. Around the country he has delighted audiences with his performances in ANYTHING GOES, THE APPLE TREE, GUYS & DOLLS, and HELLZAPOPPIN! He sang for New York audiences at such cabarets as The Duplex and Upstairs at the Downstairs. He has had numerous television appearances but is most proud to have been a winning contestant on the game shows JACKPOT and THE $20,000 PYRAMID.




Tony Finstrom's 'Knish Alley' World Premiere

Set in the early 1900s, KNISH ALLEY! tells the story of a poor troupe of Yiddish actors on board an ocean liner, as it crosses from England to America, who work menial jobs on the ship by day and perform operettas up on deck by night to earn their passage to a new and better life they hope awaits them on New York's lower east side, on Second Avenue, otherwise known as 'KNISH ALLEY!'

Bway Thea Project Summer Musical Theatre Arts Education Program

2009 Miami Improv Festival

The producers of the Miami Improv Festival invited The Nuclear Family to perform as the weekend's headliner because of their wild and always crazy plots mixed with the incredible singing, dancing and acting talents of John Gregorio, Stephen Guarino, and Jimmy Ray Bennett. Noel Coward's 'Private Lives' At Palm Beach Dramaworks

Palm Beach Dramaworks Announces 2009-10 Season

Susan Anderson holds a bachelor of fine arts in education/ceramics from Florida Atlantic University; is a studio art major from the School of Visual Arts in New York City; and is board certified in Early Adolescence through Young Adult Art with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Taravella High School for more than 15 years and has worked as a summer instructor with art programs at both the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale, Nova Southeastern University and the Boca Raton Museum of Art.

Martin Sherman's 'Bent'- Masterpiece To Play Rising Action Theatre

The play opened on Broadway with Richard Gere in the lead role which the New York Times deemed 'powerful and provocative.' When I saw that magnificent production co-starring David Dukes, I thought that BENT was certainly one of the greatest plays I had ever seen. Prior to Broadway, it premiered in London starring Ian McKellan. Audiences have been mesmerized and moved by its scathing depiction of the persecution and encampment of gay men and Jews in Third Reich Germany. This powerful play was subsequently turned into a film with Clive Owen and Mick Jagger in 1997.
