Meanwhile, director Dan Kelley painstakingly transcribed lyrics from old recordings.

I can not think of any production of any musical anywhere that comes close to what Mr. Robbins accomplished here around forty five years ago. I shall not be presumptuous and foolish and pick apart any individual pieces of 'Fiddler.' It was established decades ago by writers greater than I that Robbins' staging of 'Fiddler' was groundbreaking and established a new form of musical theater. Robbins' staging is indeed amazing.
