A Special Concert Version of One of Broadway's Most Beloved Musicals
Lerner and Loewe's enchanting and loving tribute to the mythical, magical era of King Arthur, Guinevere, Merlyn, and Sir Lancelot will be presented in a concert version for four performances only at UM's Gusman Concert Hall. Camelot features such beloved songs as 'The Simple Joys of Maidenhood,' 'The Lusty Month of May,' 'How to Handle a Woman,' 'I Loved You Once in Silence,' 'If Ever I Would Leave You' and 'What Do the Simple Folk Do?' This concert version focuses on the lovely melodies and inspired lyrics of one of Broadway's most successful creative teams, Lerner and Loewe, who also wrote 'My Fair Lady' and 'Brigadoon.'

Based on Puccini's classic opera La Boheme, Jonathan Larson's revolutionary rock opera Rent tells the story of a group of bohemians struggling to live and pay their rent in the gritty background of New York's East Village. "Measuring their lives in love," these starving artists strive for success and acceptance while enduring the obstacles of poverty, illness, and the AIDS epidemic. Playing for over 12 years, Rent went on to become one of the longest running shows in Broadway history and has become a global phenomenon, packing theatres in England, Japan, Australia, Germany and countless other countries. Rent was the winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the Obie Award, the New York Drama Critics Award, four Tony Awards, and three Drama Desk Awards.

Camelot: In Concert is available as a special add-on to the season subscription. Subscription prices for the five show season are: Weekdays and Matinees: $68 regular admission / $60 seniors. Friday and Saturdays: $80 regular admission/ $68 seniors. Camelot:In Concert reduced price tickets for season subscribers are Weekdays and Matinees: $18 regular admission/$16 seniors. Friday and Saturdays: $22 regular admission/$18 seniors.

The Jerry Herman Ring Theatre is located at 1312 Miller Drive on the University of Miami's Coral Gables campus. The theatre is wheelchair accessible, has handicapped parking, and offers free infrared hearing devices. Parking is free and plentiful adjacent to the theatre.
