FLICK by Madelaine Nunn is a darkly comedic new play about facing the void, ignoring it and hoping for the best.
FLICK was shortlisted for the 2022 Rodney Seaborn Playwright’s Award.
Flick is a nurse, Mark has cancer – the kind you can’t come back from. He also happens to be the best-looking cancer patient she’s ever seen – not that that’s an award anyone wants to win. He’s also super nice, humble, smart… It’s no wonder they clicked.
Then Mark asks Flick for a favour and it doesn’t take long for boundaries to blur and lives to intersect. Maybe they should have known things would go awry when he was put in room 13.
Flick is an honest and tender comedy about our relationship with dying, death and grief.
