Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, directed by Lara Toner Haddock, is a comedic adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle's iconic tale. Featuring actors Aaron D. Alexander as Sherlock Holmes, Ben Wolfe as Doctor Watson, alongside Stephen Mercantel, Bailey Ellis, and Sarah Zeringue, the production showcases over forty characters performed by just five actors. Set against the backdrop of foggy London and the eerie moors, this fast-paced mystery explores a family curse as the legendary detective and his companion confront a mythical hellhound. What is the history of Austin Playhouse ?
Austin Playhouse is a professional regional theatre, founded in August of 2000. Over fifty of Austin's leading theatre artists, administrators, and volunteers who had worked with Producing Artistic Director Don Toner to build Austin’s State Theatre Company into one of the city’s leading arts organizations, joined him in creating this new professional theatre for Austin. On November 27, 2000 Austin Playhouse was granted 501(c)(3) status by the Internal Revenue Service.
