Albert and Hank have been best friends for years, and after Hank's terrible break up, Albert brings him to Dragon*Con to take his mind off his ex. While there, Hank falls for Con newbie Shiela, who has come to the Con to find 'her people." What she discovers is Diana, a long-time Con goer and admittedly friendless person. Diana helps Shiela find confidence in who she is, and they become friends. In the end Shiela and Hank find the love and friendship they had been searching for with each other.

COME FROM AWAY opening night's audience was treated to a talk back by four very special people, who joined the cast on the stage for a talkback once the show had completed. The panel included some real-life Gander9.11 storytellers who are portrayed as characters in the show: Kevin Tuerff, a passenger who wrote the book 'Channel of Peace: Stranded in Gander on 911'; Captain Beverly Bass, an American Airlines pilot whose plane was one of the 38 that touched down on the tarmac that day; Claude Elliot, former mayor of Gander who coordinated efforts for the small town of 10,000 people to welcome 7,000 guests. A few years after this play was originally produced in the early nineties, the nation was shocked by the brutal lynching of James Byrd, Jr. in Jasper, TX, a small East Texas town. The play itself is set in 1955, but the story continues to resonate as playwright Lee explores how we, as humans, feed off of each other as links in the food chain.
