Aurora Theatre opens the 2010-2011 GGC Lab Series with a play as odd and funny as its title. Circumference of a Squirrel by John Walch runs from September 16 - October 3, 2010. The GGC Lab Series is made possible through the generous support of an inspired sponsor, Georgia Gwinnet College (GGC).

The Alliance Theatre's 2010-11 Season kicks off with Twist - an American musical, inspired by the Dickens' classic Oliver Twist, set in New Orleans in 1928. There, while the Roaring 20s dance their way down Bourbon Street, an orphan in search of home finds family in the most unexpected of places. Twist is the story of the emotional struggle of an orphan, whose father was a black song-and-dance man and whose mother was a southern white aristocrat, seeking a place to belong and a family to love while guided by a fierce yearning for home.

Christmas is in the air at the Center for Puppetry Arts! Preparations for its new upcoming holiday show, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer™, have been in the works since earlier this year. Adapted and directed by the Center's Artistic Director, Jon Ludwig, the production is based on the beloved 1964 stop-motion animated special, and provides the audience with the opportunity to experience the timeless tale of Rudolph and his misfit friends in a whole new way: live on stage!

Theatre in the Square's Theatre for Youth production for the 2010-11 season, How I Became a Pirate, by Alyn Cardarelli and Steve Goers, is based on the award-winning, best selling children's book by the same title written by Melinda Young and illustrated by David Shannon. Georgia Shakespeare announces open auditions for the lead role of 'Ralphie' in the live stage production of A CHRISTMAS STORY to run Dec 7-26, 2010, at Georgia Shakespeare on the campus of Oglethorpe University. Four open auditions will be held at various locations around Atlanta in the coming weeks. For the role of Ralphie, Georgia Shakespeare is looking for boys who look between the ages of 10 and 12, but are not over the age of 13.
